Biographie / Biography - Born 1957, lifes in Berlin - Study: Design and Painting - in 1987 found an own gallery in Berlin, the "Blumenautomat-Galerie", together with the tai-born artist Suwan Laimanee. - various exhibitions in Germany and other European Countries - create sculptures using rapid-prototyping technics like stereolithography and selective-laser-sintering. - building an kinetic "Morph-Sculpture", that can morph between two different shapes. - Creating a Sculpture that was used as the Trophy for the European Multi Media Art Competition" - the "Europrix". - Won the first Prize of the International Sculpture Biennale (Toyamura, Japan 1999) - A Stereolithograpy Sculpture was bought by the Museum of Modern Art in Vienna for their collection. Commentaire / Statement My work is inspired by the similarity of shapes in nature and in technic. Most of the sculptures are placed on the cutting-edge between the biological and the artificial world. |
