The first
"World Wide Computer Sculpture Exhibition" was organised by
Christian LAVIGNE and Alexandre VITKINE in May 1993, at the
Ecole Polytechnique in Paris.
2 years later, the event becames a biennial under the name
of INTERSCULPT.
In 1995, thanks to an American sponsor, the Galerie Graphes
in Paris and the Silicon Gallery in Philadelphia were
connected by videoconferencing using a satellite and a
Numeris device (the Internet was only emerging in France).
Since this time, the "INTERSCULPT network" has growing a lot
and gather people around the world.

liaison satellite permanente, via Numeris (Internet
